Imperial
War Museum
Every day during term-time our actors play
ARP Wardens, Somme soldiers and VAD nurses in the
Blitz and Trench Experiences
as well as a family show at Christmas and many
corporate bookings.
The
Science Museum
This is where Spectrum began way back in 1987
and where we are delighted to be the resident theatre
company, providing entertainment every day.
The
Dana Centre
'The Pregnant Man' originated here and most
recently our actors have enchanced the Science
Horizons events.
Museum
of London
We operate a schools and family programme
here with characters ranging from a Saxon storyteller
to a Suffragette.
Museum
in Docklands
Here you can meet Maeve Dawson, landlady in
'Sailortown' and in October 2007 Ellen Craft, who
disguised herself as a white man to help her husband escape slavery!
Natural
History Museum
Meet characters ranging from Mary Anning,
Lyme Regis' famous fossil hunter to C18th botanist
Carl Linnaeus!
Natural
History Museum Tring
Our characters often visit this delightful
outpost of the NHM.
National
Maritime Museum Greenwich
Our actors work at all three sites here -
The Royal Observatory, The Queen's House and the National
Maritime Museum itself - storytelling, lecture theatre shows and
encounter characters can all be enjoyed here.
Linley
Sambourne House
This wonderful house remains unchanged since
the 1880s and using material taken from Marion Sambourne's diaries,
Spectrum actors people the house once more in role as Mrs Sambourne,
Mrs Reffelle the Housekeeper, Mr Otley the Groom
and Edie the Housemaid. Our performers were a major
factor in the venue winning the Sandford Award for educational excellence.
London's
Transport Museum
The newly-refurbished museum opens in November
2007 when we will be providing a daily programme.
Florence
Nightingale Museum
Meet Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole
during term-time and holidays and now Florence's Maid Florrie Bigger
gives visitors a greater insight into the character
of Florence herself.
The
Wallace Collection
Actors performing as Marie-Antoinette, Mme
de Pompadour and Van Dyke enhance this lovely house just off Oxford
Street.
Spacedog

Our frequent collaborations with Spacedog
means that Spectrum can service all your audio-visual needs too.
Recent work includes web-casts for the London
Transport Museum and Lambeth Archives.
