Spectrum Drama was founded
in 1987 by Geraint Thomas to provide an educational
theatre programme for the Science Museum in South Kensington.......
Now celebrating its
20th year, the Company is currently comprised of a team
of over 50 actors plus AV experts, costume designers,
writers and researchers. Company directors are Richard
Hodder, Suzanne Rayner and Colin Uttley who between
them have over 50 years experience in professional theatre
and museums!
Richard Hodder

Richard worked in industry and was a lecturer in Business
and Finance before he retrained as an actor. He has
worked in the West End, on tours - both major and small
scale - and appears regularly in adverts and voiceovers.
He is also a director with credits ranging from Shakespeare
to Ayckbourn and can also be found lecturing at Shakespeare's
Globe - when Spectrum allows!
Suzanne Rayner

Suzanne has extensive theatre experience in touring
productions, repertory theatre and in London's West
End. Favourite roles in the theatre include Audrey in
'Little Shop of Horrors', Helena in A Midsummer Night's
Dream and the lead in the Noel Coward musical Bittersweet.
She can be regularly heard on Radio 4 and the BBC World
Service. She is also a qualified vocal coach.
Colin Uttley

Colin studied film at Falmouth School of Art where
he divided his time between making films and fronting
his band. He worked as an explainer at London's Science
Museum and went on to become manager of Visitor Programmes
and Head of Drama–and was promptly tempted over
to the other side of the spotlights!
He has performed and lectured at The Royal Institution,
Royal Albert Hall, Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford and
many other major venues.
He has also published eight books on Science and Technology
and written pieces for many publications including the
Grolier Encyclopedia and the Guinness Book of Records.
